The IRB office frequently receives ARROW applications for educational research in the month prior to the start of a new school semester. Please note that if you need to start your study at the beginning of the semester, it’s better to submit the application earlier than one month ahead of time. These studies are often complex and require the application of additional regulations, such as FERPA and regulations that apply to research with minors. While we try our best to accommodate urgency, it’s not always possible to complete these reviews in just a few weeks, especially when we have multiple applications with similar deadlines.
