Last month we rolled out our pilot for a Not Research (NR) / Not Human Subjects Research (NHSR) Self-Certification Tool. We appreciate the feedback we’ve received and have used it to refine the Tool. We’re looking for more volunteers to test the Tool and provide feedback on a wider array of projects to ensure the questions and guidance are clear, and the Tool produces outcomes as intended.  If you have an idea for a project that you believe does not meet the federal definition of “research” or does not involve “human subjects” (see HRP-310 – WORKSHEET – Human Research Determinations) and you would like to participate in our pilot, please email the IRB Directors at IRBdirectors@hsirb.wisc.edu for access to the Tool.
