The IRB Office is working on guidance for study teams about including people with disabilities in research. This can include those with hearing and visual impairments, impaired decision-making capacity, low literacy, or other categories not specifically listed here. Investigators may be asking research questions specifically pertaining to these populations or may be working to make their studies more equitable by providing appropriate accommodations.

If you have techniques for or experiences including people from these populations as participants in research studies, we’d love to hear from you!  If you have anything to share about experiences, please complete our Qualtrics survey and we’ll follow up with you.

Note: If you took this survey last month, we did not receive your contact information. This error has been fixed. PLEASE re-take it so that we know how to contact you!
