The REDCap application, supported by SMPH, is one method of obtaining electronic consent. If your study is IRB approved to utilize REDCap to obtain electronic consent and a change of protocol results in a new version of the consent form, the electronic consent form must also be updated. When making updates to electronic consent versions in REDCap, please be cautious not to overwrite previous versions, as this can result in loss of proper documentation of consent.
